The Tuckahoe PTA invites middle and high school students to attend a special online tobacco education program presented by The Maxwell Institute and The Community Fund, developed by the American Lung Association.
The Executive Board of the Tuckahoe PTA wishes to, first and foremost, send our support to all of our families as we as a school community navigate this challenging situation together. We hope that everyone remains safe and healthy throughout this time.
We owe a debt of gratitude to all of our Administrators, Teachers, and other School Staff for their leadership, commitment, and dedication to our students. Every educator has taken on the challenge with positivity and creativity, playing a vital role in ensuring the continued education of our students in the most uncertain of times–from technology to curriculum to support services to facilities, we thank each and every one of you for your efforts.
The Tuckahoe PTA remains committed to resuming as many activities, programs, and events as possible once we are in a position to do so safely and responsibly. We continue to post updates on our web site www.tuckahoepta.com. We also serve as a resource for families who may have questions or concerns. Do not hesitate to reach out to Board members, listed on the web site, with specific questions as they may arise. If we cannot answer them, we will try to put you in touch with someone who can.

The Tuckahoe PTA’s STEM Committee is dedicated to supporting the growth of TUFSD students in the Science, Technology, Engineering and Math fields. For this extended school closure, we’ve identified resources for families to access from home. View our suggested links below. We hope all our students can also keep up with their school-assigned STEM work!
The Tuckahoe PTA is in the process of reviewing all previously planned activities and events for this school year. We will be making decisions about the best way to proceed over the next few weeks.
We will provide more detailed information to the school community as soon as we are able to do so. Thank you for patience as we work through this unprecedented situation together. We send continued best wishes to all of our families for health and safety in the days ahead.
The Tuckahoe PTA’s Cultural Arts Committee is dedicated to connecting TUFSD students with the arts by delivering arts-related programs to the three schools. For this extended school closure, we’ve identified resources for families to access from home. Numerous cultural organizations have launched or augmented their online offerings in response to the coronavirus shutdown. Below are some of the standout offerings we’ve identified. We hope that these help by providing both cultural enrichment and ways of keeping families occupied and stimulated in this difficult time.Continue reading “Cultural Arts Home Study Resources”

The following message is being shared with Tuckahoe families on behalf of the Tuckahoe School District administration:
In light of the fact that the school closure has displaced our meal plan, any students on the free and reduced meal plan or students in need of food may pick up a bag of shelf stable food at ECAP.
ECAP is open for distribution on weekdays from 10am-2pm and is located at 142 Main Street, Tuckahoe. Distribution at Tuckahoe Community Center is currently discontinued.
