May 3-7 is Teacher Appreciation Week! The Tuckahoe PTA invites the community to join us in celebrating the amazing teachers and staff in our district who have gone all out this year to keep teaching our kids through the COVID-19 pandemic. This has been no easy task! We will always be grateful to our community heroes!

Virtual Science Fair Photos Needed!

Deadline for submission:

April 16, 2021 (Friday)

This week is Cottle’s Virtual Science Fair! If your child/children participated, now is the chance to add the Science Fair project photos to the following folder in the yearbook website:

Please click here for information on how to submit the photos to be featured in the yearbook.

Important notes:

  • Photo names MUST contain the student’s name and grade.
  • Please follow the directions closely, as to avoid confusion while navigating the site.
  • There is NO confirmation once your photo uploads (to confirm, click on the blue <i> at the corner of the picture)

THS Arts Career Panel

Calling anyone who might be thinking about a career in the arts. Our PTA has organized a panel of professional artists to speak with our high school students on the coming asynchronous Monday (4/19). Panelists include an opera singer, an animator, a violinist, a modern dancer, a sound engineer and an author/illustrator. HS teachers will be posting a flyer for this event in their google classroom. Zoom details can also be found in the daily announcements. You don’t want to miss this fantastic opportunity to hear from some really interesting artists!

Being a member of the PTA Executive Board allows you to get involved and play an important role in your children’s school experiences by organizing things like the PTA Dance program, the Cottle Halloween Party, 3rd Grade Circus, Field Day, cultural-arts performances, parent-education events, scholarships, graduation hospitality, and more. Interested in inventing your own program for Tuckahoe kids? Want to give an established program a makeover? We welcome your creativity!

Deadline Extended – Spring Plant Sale Fundraiser – Order by 04/11

Spring is almost here! Soon birds will be chirping and flowers will be blooming. The Tuckahoe PTA has partnered with Help Us Grow.Today to bring you a delightful selection of flowering plants to brighten your home and garden. All plants may be hung or placed in plant pots. Twenty percent of all sales proceeds will be returned to the PTA to support our programs and services.

Senator Shelley Mayer and Assemblywoman Amy Paulin Discuss State School Funding

Please join the Eastchester PTA Council Advocacy Committee as they host a discussion with state representatives on return to school and state school funding.

When: Thursday, February 25th, 2021

Time: 7pm-8pm

State Senator and Chair of the Education Committee Shelley Mayer and Assemblywoman Amy Paulin will discuss where state government is with assistance on returning to school under Covid-19, state funding for schools to help defray costs incurred during the pandemic, and what we can do to advocate for it. We will be joined by Eastchester school district administration, teachers, and Board of Education who will discuss the state of our district. Reminder- Cottle Families: Upload Candid Photos for the Yearbook

Dear Parents/Guardians,

Please click here for information on how to submit candid photos of your child/children to be featured in the yearbook. This is very important especially since parents are not allowed in the school to take pictures this year. We need submissions from all grades at Cottle, as students in every grade are featured in the yearbook. It is quick and easy and your children will love seeing these as they flip through their yearbooks!
